Liberating Technologies, Inc. is Coapt's research and development subsidiary based in Holliston, Massachusetts that develops technologies for prosthetics and orthotics. Since 2008, the company has received government-funded grants from agencies including the Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health, and Veterans Administration to pursue research projects such as myoelectric prosthesis training systems and other assistive technologies for upper limb amputees.
