Knoxville, in Knox County, sits next to Oak Ridge (Anderson County), one of the Department of Energy's original Manhattan Project sites and still a real national-laboratory research base. Chattanooga, in Hamilton County, built a real advanced-manufacturing base around a Volkswagen assembly plant. Johnson City and the Tri-Cities anchor northeast Tennessee. None of these are Nashville, and this edition doesn't treat them as smaller versions of it.
