Independent, family-founded steakhouse in Tampa's Hyde Park district; founded 1956 by Bern and Gert Laxer. Famous for one of the world's largest private wine cellars and the Harry Waugh Dessert Room (built 1985, 48 private dessert rooms built from redwood wine casks, celebrated its 40th anniversary Oct 2025). A real Tampa institution, named directly by Troy. Troy has eaten there multiple times -- a real, repeat personal patronage, not just a named landmark.
